George M.3/9/2026Beautiful, VERY well made sandals. I'm honoured to wear them representing as they do, the Franciscan way of life. The leather is premium quality and the stitching is perfect. The fit is accurate and the inner sole is comfortable and soft to the feet. They feel as if I've been wearing them for years. Some reviewers state the sandals are stiff and the leather unyielding when delivered. When I received mine the weather was cold and the parcel was almost freezing. I opened the box and took the sandals from the plastic bag then replaced the sandals in the box and put it beside an electric heater for a few hours. This gently warmed them and helped make the leather more pliable. May I suggest buyers use SADDLE SOAP, rubbing it in to soften the leather? When wearing the sandals until the leather has relaxed, wear socks to prevent any soreness or rubbing and help stretch the leather to fit your feet. Try rolling newspaper into a tight roll then place it under the toe straps to loosen them enough to make the sandals comfortable to wear. Pay attention to the fastening strap as this is stiff when first delivered. Rub it generously with saddle soap to soften it. I love these sandals and hope to be wearing them for years to come. Il me manquait un détail, de belles sandales. J’ai été ravi en les recevant! Parfaites! Excellent cuir épais, semelles solides pour tous les terrains de fête, coutures très belles et soignées. Excellent rapport prix/qualité! Je les recommande vivement!
